Summer Update

Well, it has certainly been a long time since the last entry on this site. Summer is 2/3 over and in a little more than a month the Fall 2009 semester at NAU will be starting. Some of our members have been working hard lately and are producing some really nice work.

To start with, here is a bit of multimedia that Dana Felthauser did for the Patriot News and PennLive.com

This Is Laurie Brenneman

Also, a couple of stills taken by Dana over the past few months...

Another one of our PJ'ers, Mike Thompson, has also been working hard at the Tahoe Daily Tribune and their other publications. Here are a couple of pics from his internship so far...

If you have something that you would like to share with the rest of PJ/One, either email it to pjone.club@gmail.com or post on our flickr page at http://www.flickr.com/groups/1113469@N21/.

Summer

This Wednesday (May 6, 2009) will be the last meeting of the spring semester for PJ/One. Be sure to bring your friends and food because we will be having a pot-luck dinner and just having a great time in general!

Are you doing an internship this summer? Taking a trip somewhere? Getting published? Have a great photo or story you shot and want the rest of the world to see it? If so, just send off an email to pjone.club@gmail.com and watch for an update.

Mike Thompson will be interning as a photojournalist at the Tahoe Daily Tribune in California starting in mid-May. Be sure to check out his flickr site and the newspaper's site for new work!

Tim Martin is going to spend his summer in Asia, shooting personal projects. Check his blog for new updates from the Orient!

Josh Biggs and Jake Bacon are always producing great new work that can easily be seen at the Daily Sun's website or at the paper's photo blog.

Last week Jake Bacon set a challenge to photograph one of PJ/One's members' newly bald head and here are a few of portraits he took:

Auction Success

The Friends of Photojournalism Silent Auction saw its closing last night as a huge success. Despite dismal weather conditions, some hardy individuals showed up and pledged their support for our cause.

A special thank you goes out to everyone who came by the auction during the last month as well as all of our sponsors and contributers who have been nothing short of amazing.
